How do Amazon batteries compare to Duracell?

There are many alkaline battery brands on Amazon, the more common ones are AmazonBasics, Energizer, POWXS, ALLmax, MICROPOWER, Duracell, ACDelec, Rayovac, EBL, Interstate, POWEROWL, Anker, Panasonic, VONIKO and so on.

From the internal structure and raw materials of the battery, alkaline batteries are basically the same, there is not much difference between them. In terms of production technology and process, for example, DURACELL is a technology from North America and Panasonic is a technology from Japan. At present, alkaline batteries in the world basically use these two processes, and 60% is from North America.

According to the Amazon website, AmazonBasics AA Batteries are made in Indonesia using Japanese technology, and their rechargeable AA batteries are manufactured in Japan. AmazonBasics Batteries are high quality batteries with thousands of verified reviews.

Of course alkaline batteries are generally divided into three levels, super power digital type, high power type, and economy type . We cannot compare Duracell and Amazon alone which battery is better. If we want to compare, we must compare them at the same level.I tested the AA size Amazon brand battery to find out the actual usable capacity as compared to the AA Duracell Procell battery. The results showed that the Amazon battery is about 88 percent the capacity of the Duracell. If you calculate the cost per unit capacity, the batteries are almost identical.

For ordinary users, no matter which brand we choose, we have to choose a battery of the grade that matches our own electrical appliances,

  • Such as a digital camera, we have to choose superpower digital type,
  • Such as electric shavers, electric toy cars, electronic door locks, etc. We’d better choose the superpower digital type and high power type.
  • Such as ordinary flashlight, remote control, etc. The economy type is enough.

Choosing the battery that matches your own electrical appliances is the most economical and cost-effective one.
